Quan Yin (Kwan Yin , Kuan-Yin or Guan Yin) is the bodhisattva associated with compassion. In some Buddhist representations, Kuan-Yin is depicted as a young man dressed in Buddhist robes sitting gracefully. He is usually depicted looking or glancing down, symbolizing that he continues to watch over the world. This detailed Kuan Yin statue is one such depiction.
