Meaning & Intention

Ganesha is revered as the remover of obstacles, the deity invoked before any new undertaking — a journey, a business, a marriage, a first day in a new home.

His elephant head represents wisdom and discernment. His broad form speaks to the patience needed to move through life's hurdles with grace rather than force.

The Sanskrit inscription on the scroll is drawn from a traditional invocation to Ganapati, lord of the ganas, of prosperity, and of treasure, asking for guidance and blessing over one's efforts.

Together, the carved likeness and the prayer text function as a household shrine in miniature — a fixed point where intention can be renewed each time it is passed.

Essence & Elements

Intention: Wisdom, new beginnings, protection, gratitude

Chakra connection: Root chakra (Muladhara), for grounding and stability

Ideal for: Anyone starting a new venture, home, or chapter who wants a grounding symbol of wisdom and cleared obstacles at their threshold

Suggested mantra: Om Gam Ganapataye Namaha

Symbol: Ganesha, remover of obstacles

Questions & Guidance

What does the Sanskrit text say?

It is a traditional Ganapati invocation from puja vidhi, a prayer seeking Ganesha's guidance and blessing over one's endeavors.

Where does it work best in a home?

Near an entryway, home office, living room, or a dedicated meditation or altar space. Many place it where they pass before starting something meaningful.

Is it difficult to hang?

It arrives ready to hang. Standard picture-hanging hardware suited to its weight is recommended for wall mounting.

How might I use it in practice?

Pause before it when leaving for work or beginning a project. Recite the mantra or simply set an intention of clarity and steady progress.

Understated design, well made

I wanted a simple reminder to take a moment to breathe throughout the day. This ring tells me to do just that. It's solid stainless steel, so it's durable. The embossing (engraving?) is clear and consistent from one letter to the next.
