How do I begin a practice with it?

Rest the guru bead between your fingers and set an intention or choose a mantra such as So Hum. Move to the next bead with each repetition or breath, working around the strand until you return to the guru bead.

Can I wrap it around my wrist between rounds?

Yes. Many practitioners wrap the mala loosely around the wrist during pauses in sitting practice. It is not built for the friction of all-day wear, so remove it before regular activity.

Beautiful but bigger than I wanted

This mala was beautifully made and the beads a good quality with nice flash, and some grey tones. The tassel was beautiful too. The size was too long and heavy to be practical for reciting mantra so I returned it. Unfortunately they were out of stock for the 6 mm size.
