Wood-framed canvas print with a watercolor scene of stepping stones tracing across still water, grasses and a slender birch along the edge. Hand-lettered across the cream field: Every small step still carries you forward. Hang it in a hallway, home office, or above a reading chair, or give it as a housewarming or encouragement gift.

Details

Design: Watercolor stepping stones scene with a hand-lettered affirmation across a cream field. Muted greens, soft grey stones, subtle birds in the distance. Ready-to-hang square format
Size: 12" x 12"
Material: Wood-framed canvas print
Care: Dust the surface with a soft, dry cloth and keep out of direct sunlight to preserve the print
Note: Slight variations in tone and finish may occur, as each canvas is printed and finished individually

Meaning & Intention

Stepping stones have long stood for a path taken one placement at a time. You cannot skip a stone without slipping, and each one only counts because the one before held.

The watercolor treatment softens the idea into something contemplative, letting the stones drift into their own reflections. Grasses and a slender birch widen the scene into a small landscape the eye can rest inside.

The lettered line names what the imagery already shows, so words and picture reinforce each other. Momentum, they suggest, does not require size or speed — only continuation.

Cream, muted green and soft grey keep the piece from feeling loud about its message, letting the meaning sit gently rather than announce itself.

Essence & Elements

Intention: Perseverance

Symbol: Stepping stones across still water

Ideal for: Anyone drawn to soft cues of steady progress and patient, unhurried movement

Suggested mantra: Every step counts

Questions & Guidance

Where does this piece hang best?

In spots that are easy to catch during the day: a hallway, a home office, above a reading chair, or a bedroom wall. It works in a workspace during a long project and in shared rooms as a family-friendly sentiment.

Who is this a good gift for?

Someone starting something new, working through a difficult stretch, or drawn to soft, encouraging art. It suits housewarmings, graduations, and thoughtful in-between gestures.

Where does the affirmation sit on the canvas?

The hand-lettered line runs across the upper left of the cream field, positioned so the words and the watercolor scene read as one composition rather than picture plus caption.

Too big

The boxes were much bigger than I thought they would be and seemed to be lacking in the quality I'm used to seeing in your products. I have returned both boxes via UPS and am awaiting my refund.

Understated design, well made

I wanted a simple reminder to take a moment to breathe throughout the day. This ring tells me to do just that. It's solid stainless steel, so it's durable. The embossing (engraving?) is clear and consistent from one letter to the next.
