A round ceramic dish shaped as the yin yang, with a starry crescent moon on one half and a golden sun on the other. The sun-and-moon motif stands for balance between motion and stillness, day and night. Set it on an altar, desk, or nightstand and burn one of the included incense sticks in the center hole.

Meaning & Intention

The yin yang is one of the oldest visual shorthands for balance, two halves in constant motion, each holding a seed of the other.

Here it is rendered as sun and moon: a golden sun blazing across a cream sky, a crescent moon set against midnight black. Day needs night to mean anything; night needs day.

Sun and moon iconography has long stood for the active and receptive, the outward and the inward, the waking mind and the dreaming one. Placed on one dish, they become partners rather than opposites.

As smoke rises from the center where the two halves meet, it traces a small argument for wholeness, a rhythm to return to, breath after breath.
