The original Zodiac of Denderah is carved into the ceiling of the Hathor Temple at Dendera — a circular diagram where zodiac signs, constellations, and deities revolve around the pole star, held aloft by figures with arms outstretched.

It is believed to record centuries of Egyptian astronomical observation, and remains one of the earliest known depictions of the zodiac as we still recognize it.
