This folk hanging depicts a scene of the Tree of Life. Each hanging comes from a craft cooperative in Northern India, where it is handmade by women artisans. Sewn onto a background of unbleached cotton, each tree is cut from a single piece of cloth. All of its edges are folded under, pressed, and stitched by hand. Using traditional applique work, it takes about three different women to complete one hanging over the course of three days. Each piece is truly a work of art! The hanging measures 32 x 52 inches and is available in rich maroon or spring green.
