Sandalwood prayer beads hand-knotted on vivid blue cord, finished with a larger sandalwood guru bead and braided tassel. The wood is considered sacred in Ayurvedic tradition and worn to cool the senses during practice. Slide bead by bead to count mantra, or wrap the strand several times around the wrist between sittings.

When you reach the guru bead after 108 repetitions, pause rather than crossing it. Reverse direction and continue back through the strand, treating the bead as a natural turning point.

Can I use this with mantras other than Om Mani Padme Hum?

Yes. The mala will count any repetition you choose, whether a Sanskrit mantra, an affirmation, or the breath itself. Set your intention before beginning and let the beads keep the count.

be aware of the bead size

Just so you know - the male beads themselves are big so if you are looking for smaller beads, these are not them. They are beautiful and the blue thread is stunning.
