A boat-shaped cast iron incense burner from Iwate, Japan, finished in matte black. A raised center bar is pierced with three small holes, so one to three sticks can burn at once above a wide dish that catches the ash. The Japanese cast iron incense burner is well-made, and the shape and proportions are very esthetically pleasing. It could also be a great decorative piece, but at 6 inches it is far too small for that. They should offer a much bigger version (~3x as big) to serve as a show piece.
