Square canvas of a young giraffe folded into a cross-legged seat, neck straight and eyes closed, with Stand Tall on one side and Sit Still on the other. The two phrases describe one posture: upright and at rest at the same time. Hang it beside a meditation cushion, in a classroom, or above a child's bed.

Details

Design: Watercolor giraffe seated in lotus pose among daisies and grasses, long neck upright, with Stand Tall and Sit Still set in gray capitals on either side
Size: 12" x 12" square
Material: Printed canvas stretched over a wood frame, gallery-wrapped edges, ready to hang
Care: Dust with a soft, dry cloth. Keep out of direct sunlight and high humidity
Origin: Made in the USA

Meaning & Intention

The giraffe sees farther than any other land animal, and it does so without hurry. In many African traditions it is associated with vision, grace, and keeping a wide view.

Height is only part of it. The giraffe's calm is in how it holds that height, loose and unbothered.

Stand Tall, Sit Still is a posture before it is a saying. A straight spine and a settled seat are where most meditation begins.

Essence & Elements

Intention: Strength, stillness, perspective

Symbol: Giraffe in meditation

Ideal for: A meditation space, a classroom, or a child learning to settle

Suggested mantra: I stand tall and sit still

Questions & Guidance

Does it arrive ready to hang?

Yes. The canvas is stretched over a wood frame with wrapped edges, so it hangs flush on a single nail or hook with nothing extra to buy.

Is this a painting or a print?

A print. The watercolor artwork is printed onto canvas and stretched over a wood frame, so the weave of the canvas shows through the image and every piece in the series matches.

Is it suitable for a child's room?

Yes. The soft watercolor style and short phrase suit a nursery or playroom as well as a grown-up space.

Can I group it with the other animal prints?

Yes. The series shares the same size, white ground, and lettering, so two or three hang together as a set.

Can it hang outdoors or in a sunny spot?

Indoors only. Keep it out of direct sunlight and away from damp rooms such as bathrooms with poor ventilation. Strong sun fades printed color over time, and humidity can slacken the canvas.

Too big

The boxes were much bigger than I thought they would be and seemed to be lacking in the quality I'm used to seeing in your products. I have returned both boxes via UPS and am awaiting my refund.

Understated design, well made

I wanted a simple reminder to take a moment to breathe throughout the day. This ring tells me to do just that. It's solid stainless steel, so it's durable. The embossing (engraving?) is clear and consistent from one letter to the next.
